One whole year of chaos and mayhem, that is what Bitcoin had for 2022. It was arguably one of the worst years for Crypto ever but simultaneously also a very important lesson showing us how many scams very involved in crypto. And now thankfully those scams have been exposed and we also learned lessons like self-custody from them. Anyhow, at the end Bitcoin closed this year with a blood-red candle of – 64% at about $16.5k.
So how does this compare to possible other years in crypto and what could we derive from that for the possible future? Here is a small chart you could look at imgur: https://i.imgur.com/sh999pQ.jpg
This is basically the yearly BTC chart and it shows that there were only two other years ever in history where we also closed red. During the 2014/15 bear market and the 2018 bear market. Notably, this year we did close less down than in 2018 but more than in 2014.
This is basically just due to the very beginnings and endings of a bear market. While in 2014 the bear market was over the whole year it alps continued in 2015 where we then made out actual bottom. In 2018 on the other hand this one year basically was the whole bear market. And now we already had the bear market started in 2021 so some of the losses remain in that year too.
So, what do you think? How could we possibly close the yearly candle of this year, also red or maybe a bit green?
